Ace Bookings

The past month has been a whirlwind in the ACE Bookings world. With 72 meetings and events for our clients over the past six weeks, alongside a steady stream of new enquiries including one for Sydney Australia. Here’s a rundown of the highlights from our bustling schedule.

Engaging with Key Suppliers

We were delighted to have visits and zoom calls with some of our key suppliers, including Kelsey from Valor, 8th Floor, Vienna Convention Bureau, Chris Carr representing Barcelo, and Daniel Aguero from IHG. These meetings were instrumental in strengthening partnerships and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

Unforgettable Events

Our team had the pleasure of attending several standout events that left a lasting impression. From the Melia Roadshow at Orelle Birmingham to a memorable day out with Hilton Hotels in Matlock, each occasion was a perfect blend of business and leisure, fostering valuable connections and insights.

Jade attended a finance forum with Beam at Village Coventry and Jo attended an MIA agency event at Hilton Birmingham Met. Both events were insightful and great for growing and implementing new and improved practices within ACE.

ACE’s largest event of the year took place on 21st and 22nd May at Hilton Birmingham Met for 1000 delegates and while we were there we met with Ali who is our amazing sales manager at Hilton Met.

Additionally, Jo’s attendance at IMEX Frankfurt proved to be highly productive, contributing to industry knowledge. While she was there, she also met with new clients and is looking forward to sourcing venues for more of their exhibitions in the future.

Site Visits and Stays

Ella enjoyed a luxurious stay at the Coniston Hotel & Spa, while Jo had the opportunity to explore the charm of Horwood House with an overnight stay, dinner and spa treatments. Also, a special thanks to David for arranging accommodation at IBIS Earls Court for Jo and Jade ahead of the London Marathon.

Jo enjoyed a weekend away with her parents and cousin at Tewkesbury Park, thank you to the team who made their stay extremely special and memorable. Allowing Jo to visit a new venue all while spending time with family within her busy schedule.

The team had a site inspection at Eastwood Hall, it was great to see the refurbishment and we also enjoyed a delicious lunch hosted by Lizzie.

ACE Personal News

Jade’s remarkable achievement in completing the London Marathon in 4 hours 33 minutes, served as a source of inspiration for our entire team. Her unwavering dedication and perseverance underscore the belief that with determination, any goal can be achieved. Alongside running 26.2 miles she also raised over £2000 for Sands Derby which is an incredible achievement.

The ACE team are thrilled to share we have also been shortlisted in the “Midlands Family Business Awards” for “Best Small Family Business”. Being recognised in this category is a testament to the team’s dedication and hard work. We look forward to attending the award ceremony in October.

Finally, Ella took a week of annual leave and returned to work a fiancée, we are so excited to celebrate this lovely news.

As we reflect on the whirlwind of experiences from the past month, one thing is abundantly clear: the hospitality industry is thriving with innovation, passion, and endless opportunities. We are excited to see what the rest of 2024 holds.
