Being a venue finder means balancing a whirlwind of, site inspections, FAM trips and meetings, along with the enquiries! The past two months have been nothing short of extraordinary. From exploring luxurious hotels and venues to celebrating personal milestones… here’s a peek into our recent adventures.
FAM Trips, Site Inspections and Events
Our FAM trip to The Grand York was nothing short of spectacular. The experience began with a delightful afternoon tea, a thrilling visit to the York Dungeons, and a serene river cruise. We enjoyed an amazing meal and an overnight stay in their luxurious rooms. The next morning, we spent time in the cookery school, preparing a range of delicious tapas. In summary, The Grand York blends history and luxury, making it a top choice for any event.
Jo experienced an exhilarating day at York Races, filled with thrilling races and gourmet delights. The three-course lunch was exquisite, thank you to Louise for the invite and for making it a memorable day out. Later that week, the team had a productive meeting with Louise from York Races, where we discussed future opportunities and collaborations in the area.
The team visited Buxton Crescent which was a perfect blend of business and relaxation. The showround highlighted the beauty of this historic venue. Following the tour, we indulged in a rejuvenating day at the spa and savoured a delicious lunch. Buxton Crescent’s unique charm make it a standout venue.
Jo and Ella spent a day exploring venues in Birmingham, Coventry, and Leicester. It was a whirlwind tour of just a few of the many venues in the midlands, showcasing the diversity in the area.
Ella also spent a day whitewater rafting with Valor at Holme Pierrepoint. This, followed by a delicious BBQ. Additionally Jo attended the MIA connect day event in Leeds, and also visited Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
In-Person and Online Meetings
The team had productive Zoom calls with Valor and University Arms. Likewise, we enjoyed a coffee and catch up with Q Hotels, LGH, and Staverton Park.
Cat from Hilton met us for breakfast, while Vine Tree and Accor visited the team for lunch and learn session. These meetings were filled with strategic discussions and future planning, fostering strong partnerships and exciting opportunities.
Personal News
The ACE Team took a much-needed trip to Corfu at the Ikos Odisia Resort. The stunning views, luxurious amenities, and warm hospitality made it an unforgettable experience, perfect for relaxation and team bonding. A big thank you to Angela from the Travel Counsellors for arranging this trip for us. Also a big thank you to Ali from Hilton Birmingham Met for hosting us the night before our early flight.
June was a month of celebrations as we marked Jo’s 60th birthday. The milestone was celebrated with joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments, reminding us of the importance of celebrating with family.
