It’s been a manic start to the year for our team, with several exciting projects landing in our inbox. While it’s been busy behind the scenes focusing on upcoming events and supporting some wonderful new clients who have recently joined us, we’ve also had the opportunity to attend several fantastic industry events and experiences.

Keeping connected with venues, suppliers and partners is essential to delivering the best possible experiences for our clients, so here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to recently.

The Meeting Space – Stockholm

Jo recently attended The Meeting Space (TMS) in Stockholm, hosted at the beautifully refurbished Sheraton Hotel, followed by an additional night at the stunning Grand Hôtel for Destination Day.

“I’ve just returned from TMS Stockholm, and, for me, this event is without doubt the highlight of my international industry calendar. The blend of quality suppliers, flawless organisation by the TMS team and their DMC partners, exceptional hosts, and memorable off-site dinners made it outstanding from start to finish. Add in the time spent with industry friends, always a pleasure and so many new contacts opening exciting opportunities for our clients… it’s collaboration at its best and truly what makes this event one not to be missed. From dining where Nobel Prize winners once sat to exploring behind the scenes at the Grand and soaking up the rich history of Stockholm, along with time to see additional meeting space in the city and an archipelago cruise, it has been a real privilege.”

Minor Hotels Breakfast Meeting

Jo and Ella attended a breakfast meeting hosted by Minor Hotels, where it was great to reconnect with several international suppliers and hear updates from across their portfolio. A big thank you to Kirsty for the invite.

Haycock Manor Hotel Fam Trip

Jo and Ella were delighted to attend a familiarisation trip to Haycock Manor Hotel, part of Classic British Hotels.

The experience gave us the opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in everything the property has to offer. The afternoon began with cocktail making (always a great way to start!) before moving into the Cookery School, where we rolled up our sleeves and baked delicious homemade scones. This hands-on activity is a fantastic option for team building, smaller corporate groups, or incentive experiences. The evening concluded with a superb three-course dinner in the private dining room, the perfect end to a wonderful visit. Thank you to Liz for the invite.

Micebook Expo – Manchester

Jo and Ella also travelled to Manchester to attend the Micebook Expo at Treehouse Manchester. The event provided a great opportunity to further develop industry knowledge while connecting with venues, suppliers and listening to a range of insightful guest speakers.

MCOCO Networking

Another busy day saw Jade and Ella attending MCOCO at Chesford Grange. The evening was spent connecting with industry peers and discovering several new venues which could be perfect options for our clients’ upcoming events. Meeting with over 50 suppliers in one evening was very worthwhile for the ACE team.

Meetings & Updates

Staying up to date with venue developments is a key part of what we do, and we’ve had some fantastic catchups recently.

Our account manager Michael from De Vere joined us for a brilliant lunch and learn session — thank you for taking the time to update us on everything happening across the De Vere portfolio.

We also had several virtual overview meetings, including:

  • Lindsey from the Cairn Hotel Group, who shared updates on exciting new hotel developments.
  • Emma, who provided an overview of Michaels and Taylor.
  • An overview and updates from Ashorne.

Looking Ahead

With so many exciting conversations, new venues and industry connections made already this year, we’re looking forward to bringing these ideas and opportunities to life for our clients in the months ahead.

Watch this space, there’s plenty more to come!
