It has been an exciting two months for the ACE Bookings team, packed with networking, client events, venue visits, and even a bit of adventure! Here’s a round-up of what we’ve been up to.
East Midlands Elite Networking Event – Radisson Blu, EMA
Jade and Ella attended the first East Midlands Elite Networking Event at the Radisson Blu, East Midlands Airport. With over 25 suppliers in attendance, it was a fantastic opportunity to expand our knowledge of Midlands-based venues and strengthen relationships in the region.
Hyatt Roadshow – Pub in the Woods
We also joined the Hyatt Roadshow, held at the unique and fun Pub in the Woods. Huge thanks to the Hyatt team for a brilliant evening of networking. We loved meeting representatives from Hyatt hotels across the UK and discovering new event spaces for our clients. Thank you to Bernice for your ongoing support.
Client Event at St George’s Park
Jo and Ella were proud to support one of our clients at their successful event at St George’s Park. A big thank you to the venue team for their flawless execution—it’s always a pleasure working with you.
Remote work day
The team enjoyed a change of scenery with a remote work day at the newly refurbished Marriott Breadsall Priory. It was great to experience the updated space firsthand and see how it could suit future bookings.
Overnight Stay at Weston Park
Jo had the pleasure of a luxurious overnight stay at Weston Park, nestled in the Staffordshire countryside. She stayed in the beautifully styled Potting Shed, complete with its own kitchen and lounge space, offering a perfect blend of comfort and charm. Dinner at The Granary was delicious, followed by peaceful walks through the Deer Park and woodland grounds. A highlight was a private tour of the stunning Weston House, available for exclusive-use meetings, corporate events, and weddings. Catch-Ups & Supplier Meetings – This month we also met with a number of valued partners and venue contacts:
- We met with Molly from Village Hotels to discuss exciting new openings and recent changes across the group.
- Enjoyed a lovely coffee with Gemma from the Kaleidoscope Collection, who represents a range of unique and high-end venues.
- Had a productive Zoom with Tom Harris to explore how future client events could be hosted at London Stadium and Wembley Stadium.
- Nathan from Coventry Building Society updated us on developments at the CBS Arena.
- We caught up with Richard from Dalata Hotel Group to discuss the continued growth of this expanding brand.
- Vicki from VH Sales shared updates on the venues she’s currently representing.
- Isabel from Aviator gave us a brilliant overview of their luxury offerings.
- Sarah from the University of Edinburgh showed us that there’s so much more than academics on campus—with on-site hotels and fantastic event opportunities.
- It was great to meet with Christie from St George’s Park and strengthen our working relationship.
- Connor shared some exciting updates on refurbishments at Coppid Beach Hotel.
- We enjoyed a delicious lunch with Michael from De Vere, along with updates on their portfolio.
- Had a call with Martin and Barry from Event Plus to discuss upcoming opportunities.
- Wayne from Vue Cinemas talked us through some of their unique and quirky event spaces—perfect for creative enquiries.
- We had lovely catch-ups with both Liz from Classic British Hotels and Jontje from HRH Collection.
- Finally, we met with Paul from Abercrombie & Kent, discussing the stunning venues within this prestigious portfolio
Jo’s Cruise to the Arctic Circle
Outside of work, Jo recently returned from an unforgettable 12-night Celebrity Cruise through the Norwegian Fjords and Arctic Circle. The journey offered incredible scenery—towering cliffs, dramatic waterfalls, and serene glacial waters. Jo spent her days relaxing onboard, enjoying the world-class dining, and taking part in the ship’s wellness activities. A true highlight? Witnessing a pod of orcas swim close to the ship—a magical moment and a reminder of the beauty and wonder out there in the world.
